Designing with FreeCAD (3D Printing)

Post by bob195558 »

I am changing to FreeCAD for designing 3D-Printed parts.
It is open-source and has a large community of users who are very helpful when you need help much like Openrcforums is.
Fusion 360 is becoming more difficult to use as time moves along.
One of the things I like is that it is not cloud-based, so I use it offline and save only to my computer.
Because of the way the world is moving, it is a smart thing to save your stuff offline today.

If you want to check out FreeCAD you can down load it here:
https://www.freecadweb.org/downloads.php

You can also find the FreeCAD Forum here:
https://forum.freecadweb.org/search.php ... ive_topics

Here you will find my post asking for help in creating a part to be used to make an Air-Dryer for my air compressor.
https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=65262

Please forgive my rough quick hand sketch design that I made.

Was able to get every thing together and is working very well.
The white suds are from the soapy water used to check for leaks.
