Flashing non-eu S8R to eu S8R

I've purchased a non-EU FrSKY S8R receiver. Can I flash this with the EU LBT firmware so that it can bind with an EU Taranis TX?

I'm a newbie to this and can't find a direct answer to this question so maybe my question is so basic that to most folks this is a "given" that is considered common sense, but to me I'd appreciate someone to let me know if flashing a non-EU RX with EU firmware is valid.
