Replace RS with momentary switch Taranis X9D?

Is it possible to swap a momentary switch for RS? I'd like an additional momentary switch, not just moving SH.

I replaced one of the three position switches with a second momentary switch. Quite easy, a bit of soldering, and reconfigure OpenTX to recognise the new momentary. Would this help?

I suspect that replacing a pot would require matching resistance at either end of the travel. I was hoping someone had done it and knew for sure.
