ok I am 100% sure I am missing some very simple bit of information.
I just want a switch to work like a gear switch eg on and off.
have looked through the er9x guide and thats the only thing i havent been able to work out.
please put me out of my misery
just want an on off switch

Set a mix as if you are setting a normal mix on a channel. But set the source to MAX/FULL/HALF. (depends on your firmware)
Then... in the mix screen you will see an option to assign a switch to the mix.

super awesome thats got it .... i have a dual receiver setup and needed to be able to switch between them.
Only flashed it in the last 2 weeks so pretty recent firmware
