Binding X8R to 9XR Pro with Frsky XJT Module (Both dips to off/down) in D16

Post by costall »

I have successful bound my X8R receiver in D8 mode but cannot workout how to rebind it to D16. If I change the mode to D16 on the TX and then try to rebind I get a solid green and red light on the RX. As soon as I switch the TX back to D8 the reciver connects and I get a solid green light on the RX.

Is there a way to factory reset the X8R?

Any thoughts how I can rebind this receiver to D16?

Many Thanks

Paul.

Paul.
Protocol: PXX / D16 uses Bind Mode 5 procedure.
Hold down F/S Button before powering the X8R receiver.

Protocol: PXX / D8 uses Bind Mode 1 procedure.

You may have a firmware region mismatch between the module and receiver depending on where and when you've bought them. EU and rest of world use different and incompatible D16 protocols.

Thanks Bob, yes this is the procedure I have been following.

KIlrah, I think this might be it... The receiver is labelled as an EU receiver. Thank you!

Found this useful video to change the firmware on the X8R:
