Problem with countdown timer.

Have flashed the latest firmware, and tried out timer count down for the first time.

30 seconds, 20 seconds and 10 seconds all speak fine, but next 9 prompts all say 10 seconds also.

Any ideas how to fix?

remove timer10.wav or wait next shortcoming version...

Right, in the next major release (with an EEPROM change), you will have parameters for countdown beeps. I have already implemented [Silent / Beeps / Voice], with Beeps = 10 beeps until 0.

I could change again to [Silent / 3 Beeps / 10 Beeps / Voice] if someone needs.

Wait!!!

You know that us sailplane guys want the last 30 seconds to zero, so PLEASE, give us the option to start the talking.. any time during the last minute if possible :-)

Bear in mind that this only works properly if you don't have any other voice output. Any other voice output will get inserted in the countdown sequence and delay the count output. I've had this happen, thers is a pause in the countdown for the other voice output, then the sconds are counted very quickly.

So, what's up with this problem? I just tried to setup countdown timer with my new Taranis and after a tenth second it just kept saying ten seconds, ten seconds and etc. Then I read somewhere that timer10.wav should be removed and I did so. After that countdown just beeps from ten to zero. How to enable the voice again?

Okay, as far as I understand I see that this problem should be fixed on next EEPROM update. I flashed latests OpenTX yesterday but I see that it's not fixed yet. Is there any ETA for that 'major' update to come?

Firstly it's not a problem, it was intended that way.
It has now been enhanced, but has to wait until OpenTX 2.0 is released as new settings have been introduced which means an EEPROM format change.

If you can compile openTx, you can modify that by yourself.

I changed the code in opentx.cpp so that the countdown says:
30seconds, 20seconds, 15seconds, 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1,0, beep, , , .....(beep for the next ten seconds following 0, then stop beeping.

You only need to replace the corresponding code as is contained in the attached file

Hi, I have a couple of issues that maybe someone could help me with. As a glider pilot I would like the timer to count down to 0 then stop, not go negative. I've done the deleting txt file trick and that part is great. I tried triggering a CS on t=0 then using it to reset the timer, this works other than it counts one sec to many. The answer then it to trigger on t=1, unfortunately the timer can only be set in units of 3 sec. So my question is why is the increment of time 3 sec (and similarly why the increment of height 8m so I can not trigger on 200m to switch off the power as required by competition rules). Thanks for a great product.

Not a bug, but there is now a "voice" option that may do what you want.
