here is a nice idea witch just involve remove the SIPEX 3232EE chip from the module board
and link 11-14 and 12-13 pins from the board to get a TTL level signal.

Valid to connect to the 9x, but stop you plugging a PC into the module to look at the data that way.

Hi,
with this Mod you can use a USB -> TTL Converter ( 3,3V ) to connect the FrSky Module to the PC. That´s perfect for me, because i have a couple of these converters
Thanks for the Link.

Nice one!
I also have a couple of USB->TTL's lying around. I'll try it out.

What goes up... Should be controlled by a 9X!

Have a look at http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthre ... st19053797
This leaves the DHT original. No need to remove the Sipex 3232.....
However, you might encounter problems when using your 9X as a slave transmitter if you go this route.
I suggest you use another 3232 converter external to the DHT... only a few $ on Ebay.
