Try the file called " Voice Pack 9XR-Pro 16Khz.zip"
I will make a welcome voice for the 9Xtreme board soon
João
1) You need to download a voice pack, I used this one, Voice Pack 9XR-Pro 16Khz.zip. Unzip it to the root folder of the SDcard, so in the SD card there will be folder called Voice and inside there are the sound files. That's it for normal functions, like when you turn on Radio there will be welcome message and faults like switch error there will be voice prompt. But to setup other voice function like voice on switched on a switch you must configure in the Voice menu in the Radio, it's fairly easy.griff83 wrote:just received my 9xtreme and i must say well done on the quality of the kit i like it alot. so without instructions and not much knowledge ( i have previously only soldered up a small cable to let me flash er9x through usbasp ) i decided to put it all together and it is very straight forward i must say and everything is a great fit.
i have a few small questions which may seem simple to some people but im sure you understand
1 how do i get sound to work? i have read that i have to download a sound pack but where do i install it and how?
2 i have installed a SD card to my 9xtreme board but what is it for ? the firmware was pre installed on the 9xtreme or is there a choice to install later firmware to SD
other than that once again iv improved my radio which i love and im really grateful for the hard work done by others to make this possible
This pack is no longer supported and has been removed as the voice used to make it is no longer available. Please use the link Mike provided above to download the voice pack.kaznad wrote:

Wow, you can flash firmware from SD card, that's a neat feature. Guess it will be useful for developers who need to switch firmwares on the fly.MikeB wrote:1. See: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7715#p102758.
2. The SD card stores the voice files, and may also be used to log telemetry data.
Newer firmware may either be flashed directly to the processor, or placed on the SD card and flashed from there.
Mike.
Ah cool. So if I already used the old pack to set up voice functions, will it still work? Or I need to redo it? Thanks for alerting me on the new pack though.jhsa wrote:This pack is no longer supported and has been removed as the voice used to make it is no longer available. Thanks for that Joao. Is that capability ready now with current voice pack and current version of ersky9x.jhsa wrote:yes..
I'm not sure as I still don't have mineWhat type USB lead do I need to connect to the 9xtreme for programming?
Have the high precision vario and using d8r2 plus Rx. I already have the vario working on pre 9xtreme 9x with er9x 815 but just no audio which I now have the capability with the extreme. Hope you get yours soon Joao, will need yours and Mikes help with this. I'm not sure but is there an ersky9x manual yet, even in an earlier version? I find the whole programming thing a minefield I'm afraid.jhsa wrote:Yes but you need to have the vario/altimeter, and a frsky telemetry receiver of course, as well as to configure the radio..
