FrSky Taranis X-Lite Pro - FCC/LBT firmware

Post by Trial4life »

Hi everyone,
I recently bought a Taranis X-Lite Pro from Banggood. I live in Italy, so I checked the firmware in the related menu to be sure it is legal to use this radio in my country. In the radio menu, it says: “opentx-xlites, vers. 2.3.12-rfsky” and under the modules section: “Module ISRM-PRO 1.1.0/2.1.6FCC”; as far as I know, FCC is not legal in Europe. I also checked the package of the radio, and indeed there is written "Non-LBT".

The user manual says that the radio can be used freely in Italy, is it true? Or do I have to flash the firmware and turn it into LBT (EU)? How can I achieve this? I've read that the newer versions of the firmware don't require this step, so am I already legal?

Thanks in advice.
