eepe Library

Post by Scram »

Is there an eepe Library anywhere that anyone knows about?

I need eepe's for my X9D Plus to fly my Sceadu nitro helicopters. I have searched all over and left requests on 2 forums, to no avail.

So I have produced a simple program following the OpenTx University instructions but I'm sure there are more sophisticated programs that folks have devised. I have been using an eepe for my F3F gliders - 4 servo wings and lots of clever mixing, this program devised and made available by a fellow glider guider.

As stated on each of the OpenTx upgrade pages, it is the users own responsibility to check that the program is doing what is required so there can be no comeback on the writer. Therefore I see no reason why this cannot be done. Is there such a library anywhere?

Hi Jerry (Scram),
I do not know of any "eepe library" where people post there
eeprom info for there particular model settings.

I believe there are many reasons for why this maybe not be piratical.
Because there is a great amount of options to be selected in Er9x or ErSkyTx firmware for
each model, it would be almost impossible to have a packaged eeprom that would be right for you.

If you have not found this yet, here is where you can fine info
about Er9x or ErSkyTx firmware and eepe/eepSkye programs:

Also if you list your hardware and software you are using
and explain where you are having difficulty,
I believe someone will be happy to help you. :)

ErSky9x on Taranis, Sky9x, 9Xtreme radios.

Hi Jerry (Scram),
Are you using opentx firmware ?

If you are, then you do not use eepe, as eepe is for er9x radio firmware.
eepe Not for opentx radio firmware.

You can use erSkyTx firmware on your Taranis and you would then use the
eepSkye program on your computer.

Old versions of OpenTX did use eepe files before the extension was changed to otx.

Thanks for the responses.

I am using the Taranis X9D as per my OP. It is running OpenTx 2.1.9 which I think is all the info needed for finding compatible .eepe files

I do not intend to update my OpenTx to a later version, seems unnecessary - it ain't broke :-)

Thank you. I think I found just what I'm looking for. Will enable me to check my own work and it will be checked on Companion before anything else.

Cheers, much appreciated. Jerry

Well, the rcsettings.co link got me started some but really, the best link was the one to HeliFreak.com wherein there is lots of info on programming in OpenTX.

So, I've succeeded in generating a program for my standard arrangement Sceadu (i.e. not with ccpm swash but single pitch servo and flybar) giving me settings for normal mode, Idle up 1 & 2 and throttle hold. Also with gyro and governor and a neat tweek using S1 to adjust engine tickover speed and also stop the engine when it is not in governor mode.

Now to do the ccpm version.
