Basic Taranis Information
Please can you tell me how to establish what the current firmware is on my transmitter and receivers.

To tell you how to tell on your transmitter (tx) please explain what tx it is.
Approximately how old it is would also be helpful...maybe.
This is for the OPENTX firmware.
To my knowledge there is no way to tell what the RF firmware version is on the tx .
Most receivers (rx) do not have a method of determining the version except by flashing it to the version you want.
...or not being able to bind it to the tx, that tells you it is the wrong version or the hardware is broken on the rx or tx.
Whether you need LBT or FCC is another variable for both tx and rx.
