Can not select luac in radio profile
Can not select luac in radio profile
Taranis 9D hardware, firmware 2.2.4 Recently reinstalled(today 5-14-2020).
Multi module installed.
I can't successfully select luac in radio profile. I have successfully selected multimodule and lua Luac allows me to highlight the button. Then the profile is saved and reopened. The luac setting is not highlighted when the radio profile is reopened.
What I noticed is the download file name is opentx-x9d-&multimodule-&lua-l&uac-en.bin. Is this file named incorrectly, should it be -&luac-en.bin?

Re: Can not select luac in radio profile
I have an X9D and use 2.2.4. I can not reproduce your problem.
I'm on Windows 10.
What PC and version Operating system are you using?

Re: Can not select luac in radio profile
Sounds like he is on linux with that broken version of gnome that decides to add random shortcut &s to any UI element it finds in a Qt application.
Re: Can not select luac in radio profile
My PC is Ubuntu Linux, Bionic Beaver.
The update to 2.2.4 was done downloading the firmware to PC. Then moving the firmware to the Firmwares directory on the SD card from Taranis. And finally using the firmware upgrade path from boot menu of Taranis.

Re: Can not select luac in radio profile
The filename you have corresponds to the selections you mentioned, ignore the stray &s, as mentioned they're added by that old gnome version, there should not be any...
Re: Can not select luac in radio profile
So I moved the x9d back to my Windows laptop. Downloaded the firmware. There are no &s in the filename on the Windows PC. Moved the downloaded firmware to the SDCard's Firmwares directory. . The filename is correct. Ran the update I can select multi, lua and luac successfully on the Taranis. Thank you for the help.
Re: Can not select luac in radio profile
Then, back to the Ubuntu system with Companion. Same problem in radio settings. Still can't get radio profile to keep luac setting in Ubuntu. I'm thinking the luac problems not saving might be Companion/Ubuntu. And the file naming might be Companion/Ubuntu issue too.
Re: Can not select luac in radio profile
Yes that's what I said. If you update your distro it will be fixed, gnome devs recognised that as a bug and corrected it.
Re: Can not select luac in radio profile
Checked the PC releases The are uptodate. The one is KDE 5.18. My other is Kubuntu 18.04
Re: Can not select luac in radio profile
You are on an LTS release so it's only getting security updates, not features/non-essential corrections. Need to update the whole distro.
Re: Can not select luac in radio profile
Success with Kubuntu 20. The radio profile settings reflect correctly in radio profile. The firmware file name is correct too.
