Paralelling 2 3S Lipo's and telemetry

Post by TGreyFleet »

Can anyone confirm or correct me please.

I want to link up 2 3S lipo's parallell so the voltage remains but I get a longer runtime.

I have a FrSky MLVSS (Lipo Voltage Sensor, works up to 6S lipo's) and I am thinking of making a connecting plug for it with following specs:

GND is connected for both, then S1 up to S3 for the first lipo and S4 to S6 for the second lipo.

My major concern is that connecting the GND pin of both batteries may do any harm to the batteries (altho I doubt that since the negative pole will also be connected to each other, same with the positive pole) but I want to be sure (don't feel like burning up my boat).

That is NOT ok, if you parallel the batteries ideally you should parallel the balance leads as well and you'd measure "one pack". If you don't want but would like to monitor both you have to treat them as separate batteries, with 2 FLVSS.
