Hello !
I hope all of you are fine.
As the title say i own a Turnigy 9X, it's modded and i also have the DHT module installed.
I wanna use the stock module from 9x along with DHT.
My question is, can i use 2 modules at the same time ? Actually i mean to have both of them on the Tx but work one at a time.
Also i bought a 2-way switch like this one
I remember i tried in past but for some reason i abandoned that mod.
Will it be enough if i cutoff GND and VCC for each module to switch between them ?
Did anyone try anything similar ?
I remembered that i tried it in the past because i saw that i had cut and later bridged the VCC and GND traces.
I decided to open again my TX and "clean" of the mess i did like 8-9 years ago , so i desoldered everything and soldered them back.
This is what i saw when i opened it
And here is the mainboard now

Re: Turnigy 9x Dual module (?)
I am not sure, but I believe the size of the chip is to small to hold the firmware needed to do so.
Maybe with the upgrade to the ATMEGA2561-16AU CPU Chip, it may be able to:

Mike B. will know right-away.
I know the 9Xtreme (Upgrade Board) in the Turnigy can do both at the same time.

Re: Turnigy 9x Dual module (?)
no no i don't want to use them both at the same time.
I wanna have them both plugged but only one will work each time. and be able to switch module via a switch.
EDIT:
Here i made a very fast schematic of what i have on my mind.
EDIT2: I just noticed that on the schematic i have the GND on wrong pin, just pretend that i connected it between vcc and ppm xD

Re: Turnigy 9x Dual module (?)
Check your switch.
Normally the common pin is in the middle and is connected either to the left or to the right pins.
That means, battery has to be connected to the middle pins and the modules to the right / left pins of the switch.

Re: Turnigy 9x Dual module (?)
You should cut signal instead of ground, i.e. leave ground connected and switch the other 2.
Re: Turnigy 9x Dual module (?)
Yes i know. It's like this as well on the schematic.
Oh so it's better to switch Vcc and PPM than Vcc and GND ?
Re: Turnigy 9x Dual module (?)
Yes, switch VCC and PPM.
