Taranis Q X7 and FrSky X-XSR

Post by CarlH »

Hi everyone,

Hope someone can help or suggest some routes to go.

I have a Taranis Q X7 and a X-XSR receiver, when I go to bind, the following (as per tutorial videos plus instructions):

chirp of taranis is chirping happily away, D16, Telem OFF, Ch-1-16
receiver bind button is being pressed
power usb goes into receiver (drone itself, Kopis2)
green light comes on
depress button after about 2 seconds while green is still constant
green light remains on and blue light stays on
taranis is then exited out of bind mode
power down the receiver via usb unplug
power the receiver back up via usb
blue light is constant
red light is flashing

Green light is no where to be seen, its like its not linking.

Both the Receiver (black, banggood, says international version) and x-rsr receiver is supposed to be flashed non LBT

so aside from trying to flash them - is there a way I can tell either from the taranis handset that it is non-LBT (somewhere in the menu perhaps) and also, through betaflight (latest) am I able to tell if the receiver is non-LBT before I send products back for someone to look at

Thanks -appreciate your time.

Carl

Did the radio's module get flashed with the ACCST 2.1.0 firmware?

Try putting the receiver in bind mode before you press bind on the radio and confirm both green and red are solid, that's when it is in bind mode.

Cheers, will have a go though video tutorials say that it should be green and solid blue (blue for SBUS mode) solid red would be PMM which the taranis isnt, but I'll try anything - thanks

PWM/SBUS has nothing to do with the radio but decides what's the signal that goes out of the receiver and is not set during binding, so just ignore the blue LED until afterwards.
