Multiple antenas

Post by toter »

Taranis x9d+ and Irange4 multimodule both have antennae. Should both be connected or just the irange4. I dont get error signal when I remove Taranis antennae.

Never run a transmitter or module with the antenna disconnected! It will damage the output transistor.

It depends which is turned on for a given model.

The point is just don’t ever disconnect either antenna if there’s any possibility that that RF unit might be turned on. In other words, the only time the external module’s antenna should be disconnected is when the module is removed, and the internal module should not normally ever be disconnected.

You are the one teling which of the internal and external module(s) is/are active for each mode in the model setup screen.
