FrSky Taranis X9D plus buddy lead issues.

Post by petesowerby »

Hi every one. I am a absolute newbie to RC flying. I have a Taranis X9D plus that seems to have a big issue with buddy lead connections.
plug one in ( have tried 6 leads so far) and looses connection in a couple of seconds. pull the lead back out very slightly and it reconnects.

Have sent it back and new board fitted. same problem. sent a replacement board same thing. sent it back again again a board and the wiring harness fitted. got it back and same issue. I was told by the shop try a Iphone 3.5mm jack lead. that is not an option as they don't come in 3m to allow me to turn to follow my aircraft. and to be honest a 3.5mm jack should be the same from any manufacturer I would have thought

Any one got any thoughts please. Set is under a year old.

Regards Pete

You need a mono lead, stereo leads will cause exactly that problem.
