Differental Steering

Post by rwilabee »

I set up a twin motor pusher boat with differential steering via the motors. I have a switch set up so I can have the rudder or the ailerons do the differential steering. The problem is as an example. When I give left or right rudder and then start to increase the throttle both motors are spinning which is ok. But if I give full left or right rudder I only want one of the motors to be spinning so I can make a tight turn. Here are my screens. Maybe it's something in my setup. I have one ESC/Throttle on channel 3 and the other on channel 7.

I had the same problem with the tracks of a model tank; you can solve with adding a curve on each throttle mixing

Or you can use Curve func and then x>0
I am asuming your using a ESC with forward and reverse function.

With the curve func. X>0 it will only activate motor forwards and no reverse
