It is probable that your Operating Systems are not at the same version level. It is even possible your Horus is running FrSkyOs rather than OpenTX. In order for someone to help it would be needed to know these pieces of info. In addition there are some inputs on the Horus that are not available on your Taranis.

So are you saying that if for instance the horus is running 2.3.7 and the x9d is running 2.3.9 this cause a problem, strange.

All levels of 2.3 should be compatible. I was afraid you had 2.3.x on the X9D 2019 and maybe 2.1.x on the Horus. Are you trying to convert on the tx or in Companion? I don't use a Horus so will not be much help. Good luck, out.
Posting your Horus .otx might be helpful.

This is through Companion, that's why I found it confusing

There should have been details about what the issue was along with the error message. Most likely you selected controls on the X10 that don't exist on the X9D and you need to manually fix those selections.

To the best of my knowledge there is one extra control on the horus which is a rotary switch and that wasn't in use. I will have another attempt tomorrow and save the error message. Thank you
