Differences between ACCST and ACCESS Transmitter Boards.

Post by Bayreuther »

Hello, i know ACCESS External R9m2019 need HS Serial.
In the Source Code i see, there are different GPIO Named for X10s than for x10se.
But i cant find any Information about the differences in these Mainboard Schematics.

1. Why a modified MB is needed for a working full express conversion?

2. Is there any Inverter or else that is not capable of those high baudrates?
Can anyone here make a short explanaition?

This reminds me a bit at the CRSF Inverter Mod.

3. Also. which Pins in the JR Bay are in use at PXX2 Mode instead of the SBUS S.Port Mode?
4. Does that mean Crossfire on Express Radios is also not Possible?

5. Would that not be Possible to do the Hardware Trace as a mod to the x10s and x12s PCBs? from STM32 the entire way to the bay?

Becasue some signals were changed and components added to bring another serial port to the module pins. There was no full duplex serial port there on the first version.

CRSF works fine on Express radios.

So this uart had no other function before and is traced forward to the jrbay?
Can this be compared with highspeed Serial connection on the xlite pro? Maybe already compared with the xlite? Except for the ixjt.

From what i read so far. The internal ixjt has already this highspeed connection? Or is the Update isrm limited in speed?

Can you say wich connection from the stmf32f439 are used for that? Have a repaired x12s Mainboard and a xlite for testing. I will just figure out, if there maybe already are some parts on pcb, wich must be just completed.

All the Horus radios have serial internal. X-Lite added serial to external, and that was retrofitted to the X9D+ 2019 and X10 Express.

Pin assignments can be seen in hal.h in the code, I don't have more detail for the Express. This definitely wasn't planned at the time of original X10 release though, so it's not a matter of populating empty footprints.

If it would be possible to trace highspeed uart to external Module. (Maybe after some Research, over a little breakoutboard like on the crossfire mod) I think the changes in Horus X12s Code are multiple Times more work.

Or does it work, just by Route another pair of uart pins in the Code
Would you say thats absolutely not reliable?
Than i must accept that my x12s is a TX of the old ones.

I think for example...
The pxx2 Code for external Module will not compile to x12s if internal access is enabled.?

And maybe it sounds so simple that it cant work anyway. The Serial on p13 connector is hidden if debug is not enabled in build.
I remember about that this RX is connencted, in some way, with the RX/hb pin2 from the Jr bay. (im not sure if this is absolutely correct)

So if the txpin from p13 connector would be connected to pin1 TX/Sbus, with a simple cable.
Would it not be easy to lable that Serial uart to the uart for the ext. Pxx2?

[kilrah] what Do you say about These two unused connectors?
Dont you think it has some thing to Do with the planned conversion?
My x12s is just 1year old.
