Use Frsky OS sd card to switch from OpenTX

Post by krashem »

Likely a silly question :?

Would I be able to use a copy of an SD card from another Horus X12S that runs Frsky OS to replace Opentx temporarily while updating Frsky Tx firmware to the latest version?

You don't need an SD card for FrSky OS

Can anyone spot my deliberate mistake?
I've been trying to reinstall Frsky OS to my Horus X12S so I can update the Frsky firmware. Seems I'm spinning my wheels here. Twice I've had to disconnect the battery to get it back to life. This is certainly a black art. I have been attempting to follow this excellent guide here >
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthr ... ck-to-FrOS

I have downloaded Frsky v 1.4.03, flashed the DFU file smooth as silk, re-connected the battery, held the power button on, just a green LED.
Flashed the EU .bin file smooth as silk, power button on, sweet FA, nothing whatever!

I have to be missing something really basic, I wish it would jump up and bite my rump.
Throw me any straws you may have,no matter how small.

TIA Mike.
