ErskyTX, File Transfer And Other Cool Stuff

Post by jhsa »

Hey guys, we all know that with ErskyTX we can use bluetooth for a trainer setup between two radios, and also to communicate to Eepskye on a computer.
But there is another feature in ErskyTX that some of you might not know :) File transfer.
with this feature, we are able to share Models, voice files and scripts between two ErskyTX radios, over Bluetooth ;)
Have a look at this video I have made about it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdiNY4rKDRs&t=

I will use this thread to add some other cool stuff that is in ErskyTX and many of you probably aren't probably aware of.

Another cool feature that many of you might have missed. and I find it really helpful.

Go to Radio Setup / General, and scroll down to "Mix Menu Details", and check it.

Now go to your mixer menu and have a look :) You will now have most of the hidden information on the right half of the screen. So you can actually see most of the mix settings without entering the "Mix Edit" menu :) Cool? ;)

File transfer also works using a wired connection via COM2. COM2 is the serial port in the module bay of the Taranis, and the serial port on the Futaba connector on the 9XR-PRO.

That is nice.. But on my radios wouldn't work. COM2 receives telemetry from the internal modules. :)

In my opinion, this should be a standard feature more than a menu hidden option. Very useful feature.

Thank you for this one, somehow I have implemented this on my QX7, a friend who has the same Tx saw this on my Tx and wanted to know how he could get this on his, and for the life of me I could not remember how I did it. :? :? :D
