Recording custom sound files using Audacity

Post by Charentebob »

Hi,
I'm an absolute newbie to generating sound files and those I've recorded don't work on my RadioMasterTX16S. The three files I'd like to install at the moment are for glider airbrakes/spoilers with a mid-position.

Having taken some advice I used the following format:
File Name: 123456.wav
Sample Rate: 32 kHz
Bits: 16
Tracks: Mono
Compression Codec: PCM

The resulting file had a size of 700 KB where the standard files are about 10% of that. File plays on my Windows Laptop.

Some advice would be appreciated.

Can you post 1 of the files you are trying to convert and I'll try it here?

A much easier program to use to generate your own sound files is TTSAutomate. It automatically saves the files in the correct format for OpenTX.
