Binding to Radioking TX18S

Post by wbs1979 »

I just received my TX18S transmitter and have been scouring the internet for information since this does not come with a manual.
Followed a great tutorial on you tube on setting up a model and dual rates.

For binding the tutorial said to set the Internal RF to YES.
I have 2 planes I am trying to bind to my transmitter and the radio supports both protocols.

XK A800-multi mode setting KN WLtoys
Volantex Super Cub 500- multi mode setting V761

The radio will tell me it is binding but will not bind to the receivers in the planes.

I am new to open TX and need some expert guidance.

Cheers

The XK series normally use S-FHSS so try that protocol when binding. You have to put the receiver in the plane in bind mode. There is normally a button on the side of the controller that allows you to do this. Read your XK800 manual. WLToys normally use FlySky protocol on their models. FlySky comes in two versions, the original FlySky and FS-2A, you need to try both.

There are LOADS of OpenTX resources on Youtube, also you can join the RadioKing TX18S group on Facebook as well as the RadioMaster group. Facebook pages seem to be a lot more popular and active these days than forums. Just a sign of the times.
