Default CH11 70% THR

Post by dap75 »

Sorry if I'm in the wrong place. I'm a crusty old farmer who taught myself to fly heli, and this is all new to me.
I don't understand why Mixer Ch11 is 70% THR by default, do you not want 100% THR, plus it does not seem to effect the THR
Thanx

Have you loaded a template that has this setup?

With the custom firmware, you can set anything to anything.

My guess is that you have loaded a template that is using a ghost channel.

For example... Ch11 can be set up as a source for a mix on a low channel.

Sounds like it is being used as the pitch channel. You set this on the heli setup screen. Now why is it 70%?? This is how you adjust your overall pitch range. Who ever set up this template, on their heli 70% was probably equal to +/- 11 degrees of pitch.

Ok, thank you, it has nothing to do with throttle, it sets the amount of collective when the throttle is at X. So if I got this right, if the pitch is to much at a throttle setting lower the %, if not enough you can add%. Will this affect the cyclic. This is the default setting in firm wear flash Ver.V1.6015. One Hell of a radio, well worth the donation.

Yes you are correct about how the collective pitch works. Cyclic pitch is set from the helicopter menu, that is what the swash ring setting is for. 0 I think means disabled, which would be the same as setting it to 100. Then any number between 1 and 100 will set the cyclic. Remember to use the CYCx mixer inputs for your swash servos. I suppose you could change the percentages on those to get the same effect, but using the heli menu you only have to set one number.

Thanx, Gohst got it cased now. Though it confusing at the time, but it is much easier than setting each collective separately. Tried a short flight and things seem pretty sweet! Thanks for the help.
