No Aileron Trim?

Post by thspoq »

So I recently purchased a turnigy 9x radio with the er9x software installed. I followed the wiki link and installed a DSM2 module.

Anyways, everything seems to work great, however, I have no aileron trim. I can trim the elevator but the aileron trim does nothing. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Does the button 'click' when you use it.

It may be that the button is simply not getting mechanical contact?

Check on the diagnostic screen 4/6 if the switches work

It is possible that the wires for the aileron trim switches got pinched when the radio was reassembled. You will probably find that the switches don't work in the diagnostic screen. (Long left to get to general radio setup, then use +/- to get to screen 4/6).

Thanks for the quick replies, guys.

Yes, the button does click when I push it. I went the general setup screen to verify that it was working, sure enough, it does. For some reason, the signal is not sent to the plane. I used my DX5 on the same plane to see if the trim worked, and it does. So the plane is not the culprit. Is it possible that there is a setting that I couldve accidently changed while setting up the plane?

That is, go to the mix for the aileron channel and check the TRIM option is ON, as it should be for the other channels as well.

I have a similar problem.
But for me it works the opposite way than you says Mike.
AS soon as I have TRIM option ON in any mixer, the trim switches doesn't works.
But if I turn OFF the Trim option, than the trim switch works. All mixers has to be OFF for me to have the trim switches to work.

To make it more confusing I loaded my models into EEPE and check the mixers. In Eepe all TRIMS are ON, but in my TX they are still OFF.

Can anyone explain?

Many Thank

It is worded differently between the two. On the radio it is 'no trim' So if the box is checked then there is 'no trim' included. In eepe it is 'include trim'. The box needs to be checked if you want to 'include trim'.

Now it works for me for the first time.
I flashed back to stable version r708 ER9x-FRSKY-NOHT
Can it be that there is something wrong in version r753 ER9x-FRSKY-NOHT
