I am not one to gloat but....

Post by Rob Thomson »

Well.. the title says it all

Just finished my latest sky9x mod.

As you can see I have gone for a JCB industrial yellow. The result is rather pleasing!

The side photo shows the use of the rotary encoder (installed where the trainer switch would normally go)

And the rear photo shoes how I have used a simply 'spring loaded' button to take over the old trainer switch.

It is all looking and working rather well :D

Why paint just the front panel, is it style or a technical reason?
Love the color, it will be easy to find.

I like the split. I have done it also on mine. Apart from that you save some work I think the tx looks more slim.

ah, that TRN switch is a good idea. Now I find a place for my disintegrated DX4e tx button to go when I receive my Sky9X board and digital dial. :)
The color, hmm, I think I will be blind after I look at it and try to fly, can't see my plane any more. ;)

I use this on my heli blades so I can see the blade disc.

someone wants to try that on their Tx?

I MUST do this to my 9x The green looks great but the yellow looks awesome.
Can you share the color code? Any tips? Lacquer? Clearcoat?
