OpenTX (V2.2 ?) Sounds structure - idea/request

openTx has introduced a range of new features, ideas and bling. It is fast becoming the firmware of choice for many users. openTx will run on ALL current hardware platforms, including the gruvin9x and sky9x boards. Work has already started to support the new FrSky X9D radio!

OpenTX (V2.2 ?) Sounds structure - idea/request

Post by PeterV »

I don't think this is supported in OpenTX so far (?)

Could it be made to allow SUB-FOLDERS - much like the SYSTEM folder is used by the system.

I have a LOT of Model specific Functions sounds.
And a lot of Model 'information' sounds.
When you have a lot of sounds, you have to scroll 'for days' when they are all in ONE folder!

It would be good if some flexible folder method was devised.
As a simple (maybe unworkable) idea.... just scan ALL of the SOUNDS structure, to find things.
Maybe allow any folder names.... or at least give two or three 'user' folders. Like names of "1", "2", "3", is eeprom space would be used up for pathing.
But allowing at least 6 letters wold be nice.
