relationship between .otx radio file and .bin files in MODELS folder?

Post by cbf123 »

Can someone explain or point me at documentation describing the relationship between the overall .otx file that I save from Companion (2.3) and the .bin files that live in the MODELS subdirectory on the sd card? This is for the TX16s.

I copied some model files over from another radio, but the models didn't actually show up as available to be selected. I then tried copying/pasting each model individually from the old radio to the new radio in Companion and writing the settings to the TX, and that worked.

Was I just missing the RADIO/models.txt file?

The otx file is a zip file containing the radio settings, models and models txt.

Just rename it to .zip and you can unpack it.

The bin files are the individual models.

Have fun and just fly! Just Google it.
