maybe a weird question...global countdown timer for tracking TX battery life?

openTx has introduced a range of new features, ideas and bling. It is fast becoming the firmware of choice for many users. openTx will run on ALL current hardware platforms, including the gruvin9x and sky9x boards. Work has already started to support the new FrSky X9D radio!

maybe a weird question...global countdown timer for tracking TX battery life?

Post by cbf123 »

From what I understand, LiFePO4 gives a fairly constant voltage through most of it's usable capacity, making a low-voltage cutoff a bit more problematic.

Since the power draw of a TX is fairly constant, I'm wondering whether there's a way to set up a global timer that can be programmed with the expected battery life and have it count down any time the TX is turned on, saving the value to NVRAM when the TX is turned off and resuming the count the next time it's turned on.

There is no countdown but there is a global count up timer in the statistics menu that you can reset when you charge.
