Hi,
I seriously doubt there isn't at least one of these already out there, but I made one anyway.
I made two versions of the board, one single sided and suitable for isolation routing (or home etching if you're into that) and one double sided for manufacture in a fab house.
The boards use the ubiquituous nRF24L01+ modules available for $2 at the bay or your favourite chinese outlet. Since the module was originally designed to fly a crazyflie, which isn't permanently bound to the TX in the traditional sense, it's very basic and has no bind button. The upside of this is that it's very cheap to build. Other than the nRF and an ATMega*8 with crystal you only need a 3.3V voltage regulator, a 5 pin module connector and a few passives. You might even get away without populating the crystal (although I haven't tried it).
The eagle files are available here: https://github.com/alibenpeng/9x_nrf24_module and the crazyflie code is here: https://github.com/alibenpeng/ppm2crazyflie
The code isn't too pretty but functional. It even supports althold mode and basic FrSky compatible telemetry for battery voltage.
If anyone is interested I can post a few pictures later.
Cheers,
Ali
Another nRF24L01+ module
Re: Another nRF24L01+ module
does any one actually offer a ready to use solution either into the rear module bay or into the trainer port (like tehe HT8) ? I'd sure like to buy one to use my V2x2 quads
