When working on the 9x, a good magnifying glass is a huge bonus.
I recently purchased on of these:

Actually got mine cheaper on ebay - but it is the same product.
These are superb and well worth it if you are looking working on your 9x or other general electronic jobs.

Hi
As well as the head sets I use the small monoculars that slip over glasses I also use the small forceps pliers both straight and angled that are used in a operating theatre.. as well as those air sucker pens (you blow out the air put the rubber against what you need to pick up and let the air back in they are great for smd bits)

If you can get your hands on one of these:
That is 1,000,000 times better. The level of accuracy you can reach is stupendus.

I use mine to help me read Playboy.
Dang, but you ultimately have to match the vision magnification to the same level of how your hand shakes. Both degrade at about the same rate.
