Hello all,
I'm totally new here. I previously ran an old Spektrum Radio so the 9XR Pro is completely new to me. I'm using it for combat robots, and am having problems with getting a signal to the receiver.
I've bound the module to a X4R receiver - confirmed by green LED as soon as Tx is powered on. The problem is when I apply throttle or ail/ele nothing happens at all. I'm using Ail/Ele for drive (two motors/esc's) and throttle for a third motor powering a spinning weapon. I've tried Channels 1 thru 3 on the receiver....nothing.
I then bound it to my X8R Rx to see if it was a receiver problem. Again bound great but once again no signal at all when I move the sticks on the Tx with my esc's plugged into any of the channels.
I have no clue what could be wrong at this point. I bought the Tx and Module about 6 months ago. The two switches on the back of the module are both down which is what the manual stated for X series receivers.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Things to look at:
Did you program some mixes in the mixer menu for those channels?
Go to the Protocol menu, external module, and check what protocol you have selected.
Also, you never said what module you have

How are you binding to the Rx?
The "correct" way for 'X' type receivers is to set the protocol to "XJT", then use the "BIND" option in the protocol menu.
After binding, you then need to power the Rx off and on for it to operate normally (unlike Spectrum), an terminate the bind operation on the Tx using the EXIT button.

Hi Mike,
That is definitely not how I was binding. I was holding the button on the module while powering on the Tx. Once it began flashing I would press & hold the F/S on the Rx while plugging in power. I did power off the Tx after. It seemed to have worked, both receivers goto a green LED as soon as Tx is powered on, but I could be wrong.
I will try the method you mentioned. I am unfamiliar with this Tx and the protocol menu - so bear with me

Thanks for the clarification. Turns out it was in PPM mode. I switched it to PXX and rebind the rx through the Tx menu. All good now, thank you all
