Using OpenLRSng Receiver as a Lost Beacon

Post by gumush »

Hi,
I bought openlrsng receiver from http://www.hobbiesfly.com/transmitter-r ... rolrs.html

I want to use this receiver as a lost model beacon. I dont have TX unit. I want to set this receiver as start beacon mode after 5min.

I tried OpenLRSng configurator in Chrome but it says i couldn't program RX directly :(

Is there any other way to program this receiver as a beacon.

The only way to configure openlrs receivers is through a transmitter. So you would have to get one or find somebody that has one. I would like to use a receiver as a lost model beacon also on my non UHF models.
I have found no way to do so. The rx and tx have to be bound first. Then once the bind is lost the beacon starts after the time set up in the configuration.
There is probably some way to use a 433 mHz module and an arduino board. Both are cheap and easy to find. There would need to be a program written for the aduino to control the rf board, maybe such a program is already out there.
