Rssi drop

Hello, I'm using the HawkEye UHF with the black 9ch RX (with filter). On the plane I have a APM 2.5.2 FC using PPM and Rssi. Both are working great. When I fly last weekend I saw the Rssi dropping to 69% at about 1000 meters from my home position. Tx power is 7. Is this normal or is there a mismatch with my antenna of something? On the RX a use a DIY Inverted Vee (each leg 15.79cm) and on the TX a Nagoya NA-771 (144/430MHZ). I use 10 hopping chanels 435-437.5 mhz.
