P1 and P2 range 1000-1500.... where's 1501-2000?

Post by spagoziak »

Hey folks,

A model profile I've been using successfully for years is behaving differently now that I've upgraded to the latest er9x release.

I have two pots (P1 and P2) assigned to the pan & tilt functions of a camera gimbal on my plane. Prior to the upgrade, I could twist P2 and the servo for the camera would rotate 180 degrees--90 left of center and 90 right of center.

Since this upgrade, I'm only getting half of that--center to 90 right. In the Limits menu, I can easily monitor the value of the signal being sent along the top of the screen for whichever channel I have highlighted. For the channels I've assigned to those pots, I'm only able to get the range of ~1000 up to 1500. I presume that something is barring the full range of the pot?

The ER9X simulator behaves as I would expect, but pushing it to the TX offers the result I've described above. I've not figured it out yet.

Does anyone know about this? Am I overlooking something?

Thank you for reading,
h

First of all, you have posted on the openTX thread :)

Second I have moved your topic to the Er9x forum.. ;)

Now, what version of Er9x did you have installed on your radio?

Please download your radio's eeprom onto eepe, save it to your PC, and post it here so we can have a look :)

lol oops!! Sorry about that and thank you for fixing it :)

I've attached the eepm for the model I'm fussing with. Incidentally, I tried binding P2 to channel 7 on another model (that only uses 3 channels, so no biggie) and Found That I only get 1000-1500 there, too.

The radio is using er9x-frsky-r811. I can't find link to source the hex though... I suspect it was er9x.com and at the time 811 was the latest. I see that Mike is up to 821 now.

The hardware is an original Turnigy 9x with the Smartieparts FrSky mod.

Thanks again jhsa!

Pleae go to the DIAGANA screen and look at the values for A4, A5 and A6. As you turn each pot the first value for it should change from 0000 (or close to it) to 07FF (or close to that). The second number should change from -100 to +100. If the first number is correct, but the second number is not, try re-calibrating the sticks and pots.

You have the lower limit (limits menu) on channel 6 set to -15. Try setting it to -125..
