Re: Taranis Gimals in a 9X

2600 Ohms

How bad is it???

Edit: Just measured another pot: 490 to 2440 Ohms, and 2740 Ohms total.

Re: Taranis Gimals in a 9X

Sure. The resistance is about 580 to 2430 Ohms, end to end.

Can someone please share the value for the pot with an amplifier?

Re: Taranis Gimals in a 9X

For those who consider upgrading to Taranis sticks: there seem to be a version of sticks without amplifiers. Not sure if it's a 'first batch', or a 'modified' one... Here's the photo (sorry for the quality - I had to use a phone): http://www.amg-rc.ru/off-topic/taranis_no_amplifier.jpg I got this st...

Re: Sky9x Rotary Encoder Option

Using the Iksbob's files, I've ordered 10 PCB at this Chinese maker , they cost me $9.90 plus $3.90 for shipping to France. They even send me two more free PCB, because the project is open-source ! Re: Autoswitching between USBasp and Telemetry?

1. When the Smartieparts board is not programming, its outputs should go to three-state. If they didn't you wouldn't be able to use the MENU button as that shares the SCK line, or the THR and AIL switches as they share the MISO and MOSI lines. Menu button works just great, as well as the THR and AI...

Autoswitching between USBasp and Telemetry?

Hi All, This is not directly related to Smartieparts board (although it is one of the components in this equation), so I thought I would rather post it here. I have a pre-pre-beta of the Smartieparts programmer installed in my 9x. It's the version that was a couple of versions before 2.1, and it's n...

Mike, that's an extremely valuable piece of information! Thanks a lot!!! I believe it needs to go into Wiki, so that people could find it. Re: ATmega2561 Upgrade to Turnigy 9X

Mike, just one more note regarding eepe: when I load an eeprom from my new 2561, eepe calls it '(M128)' in the window title. Is it because M128 and 2561 have the same EEPROM size (4K)?

mmilan, soldering is the most tricky part. The rest is easier, thanks to this great community! :)
Good luck!

Re: er9x development

All, I suspect this has been discussed already, but I'd like to ask once again. There's an issue being discussed at another forum (it's Russian-speaking, so I won't post a link), and I think this is quite important. It's all about Trims that seem to affect Limits. The example is quite simple: let's ...

Re: M128 Upgrade to Turnigy 9X

No, no, it seem to be a bug with 2561 in eepe. I just rechecked: I set the version to er9x-128-frsky and the chip to M128. Clicking 'download' gets me the 'er9x-128.hex' (no even need to save the changes). But when Version to Download = er9x-2561, eepe downloads just the er9x.hex (no matter what Pro...

Re: M128 Upgrade to Turnigy 9X

This looks wrong...

Code: Select all

avrdude.exe: Device signature = 0x1e9800
avrdude.exe: Expected signature for ATMEGA2561 is 1E 98 02
Double check chip, or use -F to override this check.
The chip is 2561. At least that is written on the chip itself.

Thanks a lot, Mike! Then I will consider moving to 2561 (need to improve my soldering skills for that - will practice on the voice board).

BTW, do we need an inversion circuit between S.PORT and MISO at all, or can the inversion be done in SW (just a thought...)?

Re: Make Turnigy module removable with existing hard ware

I'd like to remind everyone that every connector in the path subtracts from the 60 MW output. It's not like 72 or other frequencies where we started with 3/4 to 1 watt of output power. There is a point where the output power is reduced a lot. Hi All, I'm a 9x user for quite some time now and recent...
