Re: Audio (voice) - Stock 9X PCB
I've not seen any radios with voice before. I was surprised at the lack of surprise at the field when my radio was talking. The people didn't pay much attention or ask how it was doing that. I assumed more would wonder since it's very uncommon.

Re: DSM for dummys?
Does the 3.3 vreg have a part # on it? You could look up the datasheet and see what it is rated for.
If you're worried about it you could use the 5v from the back board or the switch board.

Thats what I did on mine. I used the vreg out of the small rtf tx. I have a low power unit in mine but the setup for the high powers is the same.

Re: DSM for dummys?
correct, do not use the 3.3v from the mainboard to power a high power dsm module. It will cause your radio to reboot. A 3.3v UBEC will work fine or as the previous post said the 3.3 vreg from the dx4e will work.

Re: Switch mixing
Eepe can be used to setup models and simulate your settings. This way you can load the model from the file I made and see how I set it up. You can then use it to flash those changes to your radio. If you prefer you can use eepe to see how it's setup and then manually change it in the radio to match....

r339 is the last OSX version on the website. The current windows version is r358. As stated a few posts back, the auto updater doesn't work for Mac's. Groot has to build the latest version if he has time to. There has been quite a few updates recently so now that they seem to be straightened out per...

Re: Frsky Telemetry
Mike beat me to it. The frsky firmware is only needed if you perform the mods needed to put telemetry on the screen. details for that are here. http://openrcforums.com/wiki/index.php/How_to_modify_your_9x_to_support_telemetry One other thing, I thought I remembered something about the V8JT needing a...

Re: Frsky Telemetry
A couple of questions, Are you trying to plug the V8JT into the 9x radio? Also is your 9x radio new or purchased in the last month or so? The newer 9x radios have a raised plastic hump around the module pins that will need to be shaved down if you want to plug in the FrSky modules. Also, the V8JT is...

Re: Question about simulator Cable.
That looks just like the one I bought. It should work just fine with the 9x. You will need a mono cable to go between the simulator dongle and the 9x and then you will have to setup a model for use with the simulator. Example of the cable http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2102950

Re: eepe not updating
I think there is a problem with the data generated in the stamp-eepe.h file. The SVN version number is listed as r1 instead of r354. The data is generated by the stamp-eepe-gen file but I don't know why it isn't working. Mike did change things yesterday so maybe his svn update had the wrong version ...

I and 2 others at my field have used the flysky V1 and V2 systems since they were released and none of us has lost a plane or had a single lockout. x or f appear to be the same value. Both are the source. The difference being how that value is used.
Your example is not conflicting because it isn't passing the source value it is using the weight value. The weight value can be + or - .

Re: Options for Stock V1 firmware users
V1 receivers used the same 9x radio as the V2. The difference was in the module plugged into the back. This is different than the other issue of the 2 revisions of the mainboard in the radio. This had nothing to do with the different V1 and V2 RF systems. The different revisions of the motherboards ...
