Re: Module and antenna question with new Turnigy 9XR
You have to remod every module you have already. Huh why? All my modules that have their own antennas will work perfectly fine. Existing modules simply won't benefit from the internal antenna, but they won't magically cease to function... The internal antenna is there, you can use it or not, that's...

Wouldn't be a bad idea to look for the other one inside the radio. You don't want to have it floating around and shorting something else out.

Re: cheap thermal switch for non RC purpose
I would think your bigger problem is where did the freon leak out from? To my knowledge poor circulation around the condenser wouldn't cause a freon leak. It would cause poor cooling performance in the fridge. Before it broke down did the fridge perform fine? Did the man who refilled your freon find...

Are you trying to save the m64? If not you could cut the pins with a small snips or dremel tool. It would be much easier than trying to lift each pin while attached.

The 1500mah life has a servo type connector on it. This fits the stock connector just fine.

Which way is your board oriented? Are the 4 wires coming off towards the top of the radio or the bottom?

Re: Tgy 9x fail safe
The fail safe setting in the radio is only for FM modules. The stock flysky 2.4ghz module does not have a fail safe setting except on the 3 channel rx's. The failsafe in those are set on the rx. Not in the radio.

Re: Polarity of battery backup terminals.
You only need to flash it via avrdude if your coprocessor doesn't have a boot loader installed. If it does then you can use samba to install the tinyapp.bin. Ersky9x has a test screen that will tell you if your boot loader is installed. I don't know if open9x has something similar.
