Where do you learn how to do this? I downloaded the files through raw files one at a time.
They compile ok in arduno. I put an SVN reader on my win xp but do not know if it is needed or how to use it.

Hey , I beleive this has been added; mine works, but I prefer the openxvario so have not tested it very much.

Re: Imperial Read out for Vario not working
I have the same result with my openxvario but not with my wshh (winged shadow how high), is this something that can be changed? The voice follows (is the same as) the screen (number) readout. Sorry, I did not say which board, I am using stock board with m128 chip.

Re: Introduction to the openx vario/altimeter
It says above that the sink tones were removed, so that is the change. I am having trouble setting up also, there are some instructions http://code.google.com/p/openxvario/. probably more some where else.

Re: aurora 9 gimbal removed from shops
I can't see why the gimbals are bad for 6 bucks. They are used in the 9xr and seem to work at least as good as the old tx, as opposed to the buttons, which I had to replace.

Flew with both the openxvario with pot to change sensitivity and the WSHHigh, which has feet instead of meters. Both work well as far as I can tell. I am FAA limited to 400 feet (123 meters).

Yeah, I bought one set. I still need to reprogram it with the open software. It does not seem to offer much advantage over what we have been using.

Re: Full House E-Glider, Extra 3POS switch, Open9X, Phoenix
Well it's not a total puppy, I crashed mine from 50 feet straight in on the nose fooling around with the failsafe. That nylon sure takes a beating! So far we burned out the motor and crashed again doing stunts to close to the ground. The openxvario variometer works well on this setup by the way. The...

Re: version 1.28 config
Well the answer is to use advanced controls under config, which I just discovered. After using it, the switch back and forth between m64 and m128 worked as expected.
Now it's off to see the (config) wizard if I can find it.

Re: Finding a lost model via RSSI?
I "lost" a model about 700 feet off the end of the runway. I could get a line on it with the standard 5 db antenna but could not locate it when I got close because it was not directional emough. We kept walking past the plane. I went to Fry's electronics store and bought a corner reflector...

Re: version 1.28 config
Actually, that is what I did, I was just pointing out that it didn't work. It seems that there is no way to switch to the m2560 either. Here is the line from the program when trying to read the EEPROM; Started AVRDUDE C:/Program Files/companion9x/avrdude.exe -c usbasp -p m128 -P usb -U eeprom:r:C:/d...

version 1.28 config
It seems that I cannot get my old m64 to work after programming my m128 in the new version 1.28 , in ver 1.27 there was a line in the screen 'configuration avrdude / sam-ba' that allowed the change to m128 or other cpu ; i.e. "mcu (not used for v4)" that is missing in ver 1.28, so the avrd...

Re: Changing to an Atmega 128
Yeha! I read your advice and got the first one to work, there was nothing wrong with the board, it was the grounds I left off the avr connector. The second one works also, I had to reprogram it, it also had a bad connection to pin 12 (exit sw) which showed up after I reprogrammed the cpu. Thanks to ...

Re: Changing to an Atmega 128
Thanks for the fast reply, I am slower than you are. I tried using the companion 9x and it is confusing at first, it sets the fuses to 3f 81 ff and the osc takes off running about 1.2v pp on scope, but no other change seems to have taken place. There is still no output from the cpu, no sound, no scr...

Re: Changing to an Atmega 128
Has anyone run across this problem? I changed to an atmega128a and I can read and write flash and eeprom but the board has no output and osc seems to be stopped, the board worked before mod. There is no PPM. no sound and no screen output but the scope does show some output on ppm about 40 millivolts...

The SMD resistors in the pictures are 201 which is 200 ohms. 220 ohms is a standard replacement for 200 ohms

Re: DO's and DONT's for the newcomer to 9x
Please do not change the plug for the batteries. Use a three way plug as suggested. The reverse polarity protection is built in to the design of the plug. Always use a three position plug with the center positive, that way it does not matter if you reverse the plug.

What happened to r2154? I downloaded it and companion9x 1.20 which gave me some errors because of asking for global vars. What we actually need is a way to tell if the right model is selected with frsky telemetering, which could also show if the right tx model was selected if the module used telemetering in the first place.

Re: Open 9X uncommanded throttle after tx powered off/on
Indeed there has been a kick of throttle as well as a kick to all the other channels in the latest software, I do not know how far back this (problem?) goes. My system with FR-Sky module and telemetering works well and I set the failsafe on the Rx. But when you switch the tx off it goes into failsaf...
