Re: V-tail mix problems.

Arne, the Smartieparts board and light are excellent and that is what I have installed. If you are in a hurry, the Hobby King LED backlight and a USB programmer mentioned on the wiki would get you started soon. To clear up the question of which servo is which, take them out of the plane, move the st...

Re: Lipo 3S

I have attached a 6 position mini-din for the battery charging on the back. I did take pictures and will post when the battery is connected. Since I already installed the SP board and USB, I'll leave it like that, but another mini din would be a good way to handle the programming interface.

Re: V-tail mix problems.

Sounds like you have the channels mixed up where they plug into the receiver? Sequence should match the channel order in the mixes.

Re: Lipo 3S

You pays your money and you takes your chances. :-) The cable and connector I cited are full 6 circuits. There is probably some sort of minimum order, of course. Digikey also has the plugs for you to wire up yourself.

Re: Lipo 3S

kaos, I just obtained the parts to do that. One source is http://www.lcom.com . They make a front mount mini din, MD66FJF. They also make a great cable and if you get a double ended male-male you have two cables for $7US PN CSMD6MM-6. Mouser and Digikey carry less expensive all plastic receptacles. ...

Re: Newboy here looking for basic help in setting up 9X v2

The functions of the mixers described on your web site can all be done in the 9X transmitter. You would use 3-5 channels, one for each ESC and one for the rudder. The rudder would subtract from the corresponding throttle in an amount to be determined by the user for trimming thrust while turning. Th...

Re: Newboy here looking for basic help in setting up 9X v2

I'd try the thrusters on the aileron stick, two ESCs, either the channel inverted or the motor wires reversed. You will want car ESCs so you can get reverse. You can vary the stern/forward thruster percentage to get a smooth lateral move.
You will want to upgrade your firmware soonest.

The paint my GMC group recommends for plastic is SEMs, which may be what ShowMaster mentioned. I have used Krylon for Plastics with good results, but have not used on PVC specifically. All plastic things have some parting agent on the surface or even included in the material. This can usually be rem...
