Download a new copy of companion from the OpenTX website and replace the old, Ventura changed things in how drives are identified.

These are meant to be connected to a flight controller, then it's the one that will handle forwarding that to whatever system you're using.

That "OFF" refers to the big timer at the bottom, not the trims.

Re: Advice / clarification of setup ersky9x
What controllers are they? Car ones tend to behave differently in both directions. E.g. if you go from backwards to forwards they respond instantly, but if you go from forwards to backwards they initially brake for a couple of seconds, and only then start accelerating backwards.

Yes, just assign the trim as source to that channel (and disable trim on the elevator mix).

Check hardware page / [ANAS], that's the raw stick input, if it moves unexpectedly there it's a hardware issue, if not it's the setup.

Given the constistency it looks like you've explicitely got a mix set up to apply elevator compensation with throttle.

Re: X-Lite Pro
The one with 3.3v works fine, and the other one jumps between 0 and midpoint all the time, no matter what... Can't be calibrated... The [Anas] screen shows good values when gimbal is disconnected (I can short the signal pin to 0v or to 3.3v to get 100% / 0% readings), but starts jumping all over on...

Doesn't have anything to do with RSSI, only about whether valid packets are actually received. If none is received for 1 second failsafe is triggered.

Re: Play value
You can add a "Play Track" before the Play Value with an appropriate file that says what it is, but it's not built-in (sensor names are customizable and there's no text to speech engine...)
Repeat 20 seconds will say the value as it is every 20 seconds.

I've split your question into a new topic since it had nothing to do with the original topic it was posted in.
No, the RX8R Pro doesn't have D8 backwards compatibility.
You'll probably want to get a multiprotocol module.

Re: How to bind UMX Radian to OrangeRX module
You might want to clarify what you have, the well known orangerx module that was out when the dev was done doesn't have switches on it, but has a bind button you use to bind: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/orangerx-dsmx-dsm2-compatible-2-4ghz-transmitter-module-jr-turnigy-compatible.html?___store=en_us...

Re: How to bind UMX Radian to OrangeRX module
OrangeRX module needs PPM as input and is bound using the switch on it, nothing is handled by the radio.

X9D+ has "Plus" written on the screen bezel. 2019 has an ACCESS logo on it. If it has nothing it's a plain X9D.

Do the trims work normally? One may be faulty.
