Re: Building your own TTL Converter for FRSKY Interfacing
When I made my max232 one I originally used wire frame and then encased them in hot glue but the power reg I was using melted the glue so I found a small electronic kit box to put it in one. Mine for the mount I was using worked via a 9pin D from the laptop out to a RJ45 which plugged into the mount...

Re: New Radio Needed
As ERSKY9X is still some time away the best would be to get/mod/use the stock radio first, then once it's done if you feel the difference is worth it you can just swap the board as it's a drop-in replacement. Opps I think I may be getting a little mixed up is there a difference between the ER9x and...

Re: Wireless Weather Station at local fields
Hi
When I passed my first part of my Ham test and could use 2m and 70cms I had a radio that had the ARPS and packet radio built in and I could be followed over the internet on a map program but that was some time ago and I no longer have that radio,,

Re: New Radio Needed
Hi, and welcome :) The first thing to do would be to read the Wiki: http://openrcforums.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page There are lots of info, both basic (what is it?) to the more detailed (even if a little outdated) user's guide. On Hobbyking you have to be fast - when some stock arrives it's usuall...

Re: New Radio Needed
Where are you located? Some members offer their help to local people , aiding in firmware flashing, soldering. Etc. Anywhere that sells the 9x type radio and has them in stock is a good place to get one. They are all the same radio, and who ever supplies them really doesn't matter. As for firmware,...
