Confusion
In er9x I tried to configure the trainer menu using SWC but got weird results. After selecting the trainer switch in the simulator, the switch assignment in the trainer menu gets changed to !SW2... :o If I use another CSwitch instead of SWC the value in the trainer menu gets changes to some other !S...

Re: Master stick movement overrides student ..
When I set up my system for this. We have days where we let anyone try to fly. I set the rate on the trainer screen to 75%. This makes it a little easier for the student pilot to fly, and even with the sticks set on add I still override their control input. And really if they are doing that bad I n...

Re: Master stick movement overrides student ..
You are quite the tease tonight! I took a look at the example you attached but am not good enough to improve it per your hint. I think this programming feature has a lot of merit and would like to see the streamlined version become a "Sticky Trainer" template. How about it?

Re: Transfer Trim?????
In either openTx or er9x if you created the later models by using "duplicate", or "copy" then "paste", then the trims you had for your quad would be replicated in the new model. You never have to save trim or other changes to your radio. Any change made to a model in th...

My DM9 module does not fit well in any of my 9x radios. The pins barely make contact and connection to the module can be intermittent. The "fix" for me was to bend the pins slightly to one side.

Re: Turnigy 9x ban at local club
<snip> As for clubs.. Yup.. We have one particular club down here that I'm aware of, that has tight limits on membership numbers. To get in is by invitation only and some sort of initiation ceremony has to be undergone. I say old chap, it's not that much of a dust up about the ceremony. Merely a ma...

Just use a standard opensource disclaimer. Like the one from Debian. This software is opensource and comes with no warranties. Check gnu.org for details. It can be distributed for free but donations are welcome. OpenTX is a noncommercial project and not affiliated with FrSky. I think this pretty mu...

Re: Unable to Copy/Paste Models
Not sure how many models the OP has. Perhaps it might help us understand the problem if we had some idea about this. Or just separate .eepm's for each model while you're at it? This seems to make a whole lot of sense to me. :) As for the number of models, between 7 and 10 for each of the two radios...

I second jhsa's recommendation to read the manual. Just as important is a strong recommendation to use eePe Editor and not companion9X when using er9x firmware.

Re: Unable to Copy/Paste Models
Creating multiple "library" .eepe is what I have done. It's the only workaround I could devise, but thought I would see if there was a better way from all of the experts here.
Thanx all.

The EEPROM Info menu is good information that I was not previously aware of, thanx. What is your recommendation then on the best way of storing more model data besides creating multiple "library" .eepe?

Unable to Copy/Paste Models
Besides the current .eepe for each of my radios I have an additional .eepe for each that has all of my current models plus other models whose data I want to keep should I want to build a replacement, etc. I recently made a new model and tried to copy/paste the model to my "library" .eepe f...

Delay and Slow are different functions. When you open the menu for a mix (in Companion double click on a mix, on the radio highlight a mix and press the menu button) you can see and adjust both easily.

Re: er9x with V959 quadcopter
the other wierd thing that happens is when the v959 binds to the TX, it immediately goes to full throttle - and then pulls back to zero (even though the sticks were back)... eeeowch. The .eepm you adopted is a messy way to set up for the quad. One of the problems is that the sticky throttle cut is ...

It appears in England at and after dawn only on the rare days that an east landing is necessary following an all night flight from North America. Nothing like a face full of sun to wake you up when trying to see the runway on short final!

Just a thought.. even if it scrolls through menus, it won't change any value unless you press a button, right? Personally u think the only safe way for stick scroll into force you to engage a button (hold menu or trainer), and stick scroll active. You mean a tray like this except full with several transmitters, maybe a wind sock, a Beaufort scale anemometer, a large sling shot for sneak attacks on unsuspecting model ships or for launching small gliders, a small cabinet to store back pain medicines, etc. http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/5382/tra...

Mike, I think that accidentally changing the mode is exactly what happened to me. With the new short duration time out I believe that scrolling stopped when I was at the bottom of the menu list and when trying to reactivate it I changed the stick mode to mode 1. I just did it now intentionally to ve...

I use the cross trim function as part of my normal setup. Yes I know what you are saying. It would confuse the hell out of me to have the display trim indicators cross...

Still deciding if I want this radio. The chips are coming out against it for now. I will probably update my working spare 9X to do audio, leaving another 9X for spare parts cannibalisation. Might even sell off a few parts from it. My main money will be on the Horus if it comes in tray format. Horus...

Yes.. But consider. You re requesting a feature just a matter of a week or two from full scale production. I simply cannot see this being done at this stage of product development. But it would be am easy mod. I may be wrong (as have not followed the Dev threads too closely) but I recall something ...
