9x switch not working

The top left rear switch on the 9x - THR is not working for me. I used it to turn back light on and off. Now it is on all the time. I opened it up and checked the actual switch and it's working fine. (tested using a simple LED light circuit) Is there something else I can check or replace to get this...

I checked over the ranges and all seemed good. Now fixed and I think I have the cause too being the loose jumper connection. Thanks

Re: Telemetry values all reading zero

It is now working again. I think it was the hardware connections. The telemetry mod in the 9x has a connector that plugs into the smartiparts board. When I opened it was disconnected as it's not properly soldered. I think that was the problem. Thanks for the help

Telemetry values all reading zero

I have had the DSR-II working well for a while but suddenly it's not working. I had Tx, Rx and voltage readings working on my 9x screen but now all reading 0.0. Not sure why. I'm using to fly a dji multicopter and otherwise it's all working fine. And weirdly my voltage readings which I had set actua...

Re: Added FrSky telemetry - clueless how to actually use it.

ok understood. I will get frsky battery sensor which divides the voltage and plugs into the Rx. This I think is the module you say can be home made but as I'm not an electronics person this should do the trick. I think really voltage is my main priority. GPS would be nice but that add on is a bit mo...

Re: Added FrSky telemetry - clueless how to actually use it.

I just put A1 to 13.2v on the transmitter Now I have a reading on the screen A1=5.0v. The MC has a 3s lipo on it so am expecting 12.2v. There is a jumper connecting x and a1 on the Rx and the manual says it divides on a ration of 4:1. So I'm getting somewhere already but not quite! What would explai...

Re: Added FrSky telemetry - clueless how to actually use it.

Sorry wrong information. The MC wasn't on. I now have the following info. So my question now is what do these numbers mean and what can I do with them? Voltage alerts etc. or any other info Rx=105 Tx=88 Then underneath that are 4 smaller numbers: 77 106 76 104 It is a DJT module linked to a D8R-II p...

Added FrSky telemetry - clueless how to actually use it.

I have added a smartie parts Eztelemetry to go with my new FrSky Tx,Rx module in my 9x. I then updated the er9x to er9x frSky. I seems to have some new screens with 'Rx' and 'Tx'=0 and another screen with various other telemetry parameters. But then what? They are all at zero. I can;t seem to find a...

After installing the TelemetrEZ I did turn it on and the screen appeared fine looking as it did before and switches and sticks responded fine. I'll try posting elsewhere too thanks, just not sure that it's a TelemetrEZ issue.
Thanks

Re: Naza + FrSky - double failsafe?

Before I got the FRSky receiver with failsafe feature I thought the Naza failsafe was adequate. - If the signal is lost the naza goes into a return to home feature. What's different with the FrSky feature? Does it simply initiate the command quicker rather than polling for a signal say every 10 seco...

Naza + FrSky - double failsafe?

I have the DJI NAZA 2 which has failsafe feature built in. I also have Fr Sky DSR that has its own failsafe feature. Not flown with or set the feature yet. But how does it work if both components have failsafe? Do I set both? How would that work with both trying a return to home? What's the best cou...

Re: Turnigy 9x with Frsky DJT - not working

Sorted now. I milled out completely the raised plastic area. Even leaving a little meant it wouldn't go in fully. This alone didn't sort the lack of rudder movement. I took my 550 top off and re wired all the connections. This sorted out the rudder connection. Final issue of orange lights was simply...

Re: Turnigy 9x with Frsky DJT - not working

It is a Turnigy 9X 9Ch Transmitter. The new parts are the Fr Sky DJT and on the model receiver is a D8R-II plus.

I will lower the plastic around the pins anyway to get a better fit but I agree that may not be the reason as all other connections are working.

Turnigy 9x with Frsky DJT - not working

I've been using Turnigy 9x with stock Tx / Rx modules for a while but have just replaced them with the Frsky module. 1. When connected top the assistant 1 of the 4 sticks does not move. 2. Continuous fast orange flashing from the Naza. 3. The module does not fit all the way in on the back of the 9x....

Re: Creating a circling flight mode switch

Not flown yet but managed to create a trim switch using an empty channel. Seems fairly straightforward, with the correct values to be determined in the field. In theory, if I have 2 empty switches I think I could create 3 flight modes: Switch A ON=Mode 1. Switch B ON=Mode 2. BOTH switches on=Mode 3....

Thanks. I see it is a flip of a switch, once you've actually worked out the values for the setting. I think this page is telling me what you're saying:

It's possible it was something else. I'll use a new memory slot and see if I can get it to work without having to force the settings.

Creating a circling flight mode switch

Being very new to this I can't work this out from the manuals. I have successfully set up all the necessary parameters with er9x to operate my hex copter running NAZA which is great. I see there a couple of switches spare and I had a thought (not an original one I'm sure!) that one of these switches...

Re: switch to er9x. Now model won't fly. ELE value?

Got it working! Thanks all and Mike. I didn't seem to get an immediate definitive answer but set limits as you said, kept re-calibrating sticks, used trim to get all sticks working just right.
Then restarted naza and finally got it working.
Now just waiting for the wind to ease off a bit!

Re: switch to er9x. Now model won't fly. ELE value?

As I thought the Tx seems to be ok but when I plug into the set up software or the F550 it sees ELE as 80% max. I think this is why it flashes a warning error saying Sticks are too far off . The F550 requires a gesture to start the motors - CSC - this won't work with sticks out of acceptable range. ...

Re: switch to er9x. Now model won't fly. ELE value?

Hi Mike, Thanks for the help here. Here's what I've got: ANA readings all seem fine. Each stick goes from -100 to +100 I created an empty slot and moved sticks while viewing the bars screen. All moved to maximum, however the right and left sticks both appeared on left side. See image. I would have t...
