Re: TGY9x with ER9x (er9xProv822n) and DIY Banggood ATMega 328P Multiprotocol (v1.3.1.1)

OK, I can get the multi protocol names into the flash memory for the standard (non-telemetry) version of er9x. I used to have them, but removed them to save space when I added the code to get the names from the module. However, I only commented the code out so it has not been too difficult to put th...

Re: FrSky X10s

I've just posted a new test version for the X10. This handles images larger than 128x64 (up to 192x114), as long as they are in 24-bit .BMP format. On screens where the height is to large for the available space, the image is cropped with equal amounts removed from the top and bottom. THe full width...

Re: FrSky X10s

I just checked the code. I actually allow images with a width from 128 to 192 pixels and a height from 64 to 114 pixels, all in 24-bit .BMP format. However, larger images (vertically) don't fit properly in the space available on some screens, and with the changes I did to solve the reboot problem, I...

Re: FrSky X10s

I downloaded a (Horus) image from SkyRaccoon, loaded it into Windows Paint and adjusted the size to be 64 high while maintaining the aspect ratio, which resulted in a width of 107. I then saved it as a 24-bit BMP file. I then loaded this into another image program and adjusted the "canvas" size to b...

Re: TGY9x with ER9x (er9xProv822n) and DIY Banggood ATMega 328P Multiprotocol (v1.3.1.1)

Sorry, I misread your first post! You will only get the names from the MPM if you have done the telemetry mod as the MPM sends the names using the telemetry signal. I think you will need to flash "er9xProv822o" (recently posted) to get the protocol numbers instead. I'll consider whether I can put th...

Re: FrSky X10s

I've looked to see why telemetry is not working for you with just the internal module enabled, but I can't see why it isn't working. I've flashed the X10 firmware to my express with some debug and, as far as I can see, the SPort is enabled and being checked for data. I may need to send you this vers...

Re: Will AFHDS 2A telemetry work with FrSky telemetry mod?

I'm working through these problems. I don't want to change too many things at once! I've posted a test version for the '128. This should fix the DSM RxV problem and value display. I have, however, done a change to the AFHDS2A processing that might fix the operation when using MULTI_TELEMETRY. The DS...

Re: Ersky9x Bug Reporting

I was using two channels in a timer to capture the SBUS signal, one for rising edge and one for falling edge. When I added support for more transmitters, I had to just use a single channel for both edges, but missed changing the timer configuration for some transmitters. The need to toggel the inver...

Re: Will AFHDS 2A telemetry work with FrSky telemetry mod?

My understanding with AFHDS telemetry is there are two types of data packet, a standard packet starting with 0xAA and an extended packet starting with 0xAC.
I'm currently only processing the standard packet, I'm looking up what the format of the extended packet actually is.

Re: FrSky X10s

I'll be looking at why the SPort telemetry is not enabled for the internal module. The only way I know of is to delete all files in the directory, then copy them in one at a time in the order you need. Possibly, if you can get a list of the files you want, in the order you want, then create a "batch...

Re: Will AFHDS 2A telemetry work with FrSky telemetry mod?

When testing DSM telemetry using MULTI_TELEMETRY, leave the Usr Proto as FrSky. With MULTI_TELEMETRY set the telemetry is auto-detected.
I'll see if I can make the telemetry work even if you set the Usr Proto to DSM.

Re: Will AFHDS 2A telemetry work with FrSky telemetry mod?

I'll look into building a special debug version that might show why you are not getting telemetry. It is odd you are not seeing DSM telemetry when I am!
Are you saying when you bind to the DSM Rx you do NOT get the protocol names appearing?

Re: FrSky X10s

Did you get telemetry by setting the external module on? To get the filename list into alphabetical order will need the entire directory to be read into RAM and then sorted for display. This needs a large amount of RAM, and possibly processor time. Some transmitters that support erskyTx don't have a...

Re: Will AFHDS 2A telemetry work with FrSky telemetry mod?

If you get the MPM firmware revision displayed in the protocol menu, then the module is sending OK and the polarity and connection to the ATMEGA128 is OK. If you get the protocol names appearing, after up to 0.5 seconds, then the MPM is correctly sending MULTI_TELEMETRY, not MULTI_STATUS. I tested t...

Re: Will AFHDS 2A telemetry work with FrSky telemetry mod?

I wasn't handling DSM telemetry from the MPM using MULTI_TELEMETRY, I've just added it and posted a r822o that supports DSM telemetry. This also improves handling the protocol names from the module, so you get a number displayed if there is no name. If DSM telemetry works, but AFHDS telemetry doesn'...

Re: FrSky X10s

I'll check the code, it may be I'm not looking in the right place for the telemetry, it should be coming from the SPort signal. Neither my X10S Express nor my T16 use that, so I may have missed using it. Possibly, as a workaround, if you enable the external module in XJT protocol, the SPort telemetr...

It looks like I wasn't handling protocol numbers above 63 properly either.

Re: ERSKYTx (was ersky9x) Questions

In erskyTx, there should be 3 possible settings, SING, OSMP and FILT, in the hardware menu. SING is single, read the ADC value once and use it. There may be some jitter on the resulting value depending on the quality of the gimbals. OSMP is Over-Sample, read the ADC 4 times quickly and take the aver...

Re: FrSky X10s

Good to get that fixed! Image files are 128x64, 24 bit colour. The file should end up 24K long. I know about the EXIT (RTN) not restarting from the bootloader, I've been trying to find out why it doesn't work. File lists in erksyTx should use most of the display, only the bootloader and maintenance ...

Re: FrSky X10s

I think I've found the bug(s). One problem was register bit naming in a STM supplied header file, causing an incorrect bit to be cleared. I have also found the graphic DMA device very occasionally appears to generate a "complete" interrupt when it hasn't actually finished. I can't find any reason fo...

I don't (currently) know what identifier is for vario data in AFHDS2A, so I don't handle it.
If you have any information to tell me that I can add it in.

Re: Will AFHDS 2A telemetry work with FrSky telemetry mod?

Not unstable at all. When the telemetry is working, the MPM is sending the current protocol name every 0.5 seconds. When you change the protocol, er9x immediately displays the protocol number, then changes this to the name when it is received from the MPM. THere is up to 0.5 seconds delay before the...

Re: FrSky X10s

It's something to do with the amount of drawing being done on a screen image. I've just managed to make my X10S express fail in the same way by drawing a lot more on the text editing screen. It takes a while, but eventually it I got a watchdog reboot. I've now seen this happen 3 times, so hopefully ...
