Re: Make your own Taranis three axis gimbal.
Cool! Curtis Youngblood flies his helis like that, with the rotational axis controlling the tail. No good for us thumb flyers but very very good to see stuff like this being produced.

Re: Serial data over telemetry channel
Interesting, 30 bytes per second is enough to make a change to a flight controller. If 2.2 adds some ablity to control that via lua scripts there might be something that can be done along those lines. (Pun intended )

Re: Serial data over telemetry channel
It's not that I have a problem I'm trying to solve or anything like that. I'm just looking to see if true 2-way serial communication is possible through the s.port, but it looks like serial only goes 1 way. The TX sends RC control data, and received Serial data, so we can't send serial data to a fli...

Anything possible with this idea? The msh brain will soon be offering "jeti integration" and it would be great if we could do that on a radio that doesn't cost $1400

Wow... I was just thinking about this very topic. Hursto75, are you talking about being able to remotely program a flybarless controller with something like the jeti protocol?

I can (and prefer to) live without dsm2.
It will be interesting to see what happens with it in the future. I wonder what chip it is, as compared to a DX6 (new one).

New Spektrum DXe... 9 channels?
Has anyone seen which module is used in the new DXe? On some sites it's saying that it's a 6-9 channel transmitter... this could just be a trick like with the Dx5e. Meaning you only see "extra channels" when connected to specific bind and fly devices. Anyway, I was thinking about making an...

Works perfectly. Thank you again. I almost had that at one point when I was following your suggestions, but I had the Switch setting as switch H down. I didn't realize that the source itself was all that was needed. I consider myself a fair intelligent person, (don't ask my 15 year old son though) b...

Flight mode fade in and out almost works but the delay doesn't work. All I want to do is this, but have slow work.... CH01 [I1]Rud Weight(+100%) CH02 [I2]Ele Weight(+100%) CH03 [I3]Thr Weight(+100%) := SH Weight(+60%) Switch(SH↓) Delay(u1:d0) Slow((u2:d0) CH04 [I4]Ail Weight(+100%)

Re: OpenTX example of SLOW?
2.1.3 It seems like when I do the multiply line it reduces the throttle channel, (with no switch on) to -50 to + 50. Weird... :) If I change the multiply line to replace it works normally when no switch is on. I assume then that multiply is active all the time and not effected by a switch. (?) So wi...

Thanks Mike, for the reply. "Slow applies only to a single mix, and is applied to changes to the mix source only." There is more in that sentence than my brain can process... :) So what I'm trying to do is: Lets call it throttle on channel 6 (straight line curve) Press switch H and the thr...

OpenTX example of SLOW?
Is there somewhere I can find how to use slow? It doesn't work at all as I would expect. I have a mix that works fine, when I hold the momentary switch on my Taranis, channel 6 goes to +60 and returns to where it was when released. Super easy. Now I want to do the same thing, but just have it slower...

Re: OpenTX 2.1 released!
I understand what you mean ;) if only to hear the voltage being spoken, but to setup an alarm I wouldn't use the divided value as that value is not the real value from the lowest cell.. If you don't have a sensor that monitors all cells the alarm should be set using the total value. João If you're ...

Re: OpenTX 2.1 released!
As for the voltage division. If you are getting only telemetry on the total pack voltage, which a lot of people do, then the same thing applies about 1 cell could go bad. Heck most people fly with a timer and nothing else. All I am saying is that rather than hearing the total voltage I want to hear ...

Is there a way to divide a telemetry value with a constant? I like to divide the total voltage (detected by analog A1) with the amount of cells (4), to get single cell value Something like: Cell - calculated - A1 - multiply - 0.25 -- עופר -- I also think in terms of a per cell average when flying. ...
