Re: Can't flash Taranis...
I use companion on windows; after installing drivers i could get a connection; i could get an upload and download of EEPE model setup but could not update firmware. I then went to the companion install directory and was surprised to find the DFUSE.exe file name was different to the name in companion...

Re: Telemetry battery alarm setup for my Taranis
I found if you setup a timer triggered custom switch and use this to re-trigger the alarm (and with low alarm) the low alarm will continuously be set.

How to setup master slave buddy system
Hi all, Is it possible to connect 2 9X radio’s together in a trainer mode. I have connected the radio’s together removed TX module from 1 and can see the outputs on the second radio screen. I have configured the 4 trainer channel and setup a replace option (:= 100%) ch1, ch2, ch3 and ch4. I can see ...

Re: Voice possible?
the emartee won't do it.. but the Megasound probably could.. at the moment we are able to load files to the SD card through a serial connection. Still a bit basic but it works.. I currently have a megasound board from Hungary. Is it possible to get this board to work with a G9X? Do you have any det...

Re: Voice possible?
dose anybody have any information on how the SOMO-14D connects to the G9X board? I wonder if the standard Emartee board could be used to reed and write to SD card and act as a gate way for traffic coming from G9X to SD card, this would allow the same SD card to be used for model memory, Telemetry lo...

Re: Voice possible?
"Standard" voice on gruvin uses the SOMO-14D module. AFAIK it's nearly (or completely) the same as the emartee module, but it was directly connected to the many spare ports the bigger CPU has. So no latch and backlight trick, thus the Megasound board probably won't be directly compatible....

Re: Taranis Gimals in a 9X
So... the good news? Yes. They fit. Yes. They work well I have successfully upgraded an old 9x/sky9x with Taranis Gimbals. They work very well :-) 1There are a few complexities when installing. 1. They fit one way, and only one way. If you dont do it right - the back case wont close! Just a case of...

Re: Telemetry alarm issue
I currently run a Gruvin 9X
It has a speaker mod and can generate a number of different tones through the speaker.
I still have the beeper in this radio; if “A1” alarm goes red it will sound the beeper
But if the link is lost you get nothing.

Telemetry alarm issue
Is there a way to generate an alarm in OpenTX if telemetry link is lost. EG. Radio is switched on the model receiver is then switched on, the TX, RX signals are established If the Link is lost for any reasons a audible alarm is generated. This alarm should continue to sound until alarm is ...

Re: ATmega2561 support in openTx
The USB operation MUST have 2 pins. Clearly they MUST also be on the same port, and one of them MUST be capable of generating an interrupt. That is difficult given the existing connections on the board. This could involve some quite messy mods. Only some of the pins can generate interrupts. Mike. H...

Re: ATmega2561 support in openTx
Does that mean, if someone is going to replace the cpu, he should take the 2561 instead of the m128 ? I already have ordered two M128 ond got the QuickChip the last days. Reinhard That goes double for me. ;-) I just haven't had the chance yet to install it. I am thinking of giving the M2561 a try, ...

Re: 9x upgrade to ATmega128A3-AU + Reboot With Horiz Trims
I have modified a 9X radio with a M128 that i had fitted resistors to, I removed the resistors and performed the horizontal trimmer rewire as described by GRUVIN. And guess what it worked! just about wore the trimmers out through continuously switching; did not reboot at all. :mrgre...

yes of course, read first always before writing something.. I just mentioned as it is what normally happens with the SCK error ;) But there are people here with much more knowledge than me that can explain that better. I can only say that I did 2 chip replacements on both my radios and they are bot...

Re: ATmega2561 support in openTx
Thank you very much! You make the process very clear now. With the fuses, do you need to change the fuses back to original or leave the changes intact after flashing the new firmware? And thanks for your time. I will practice first and do the M128 first. I do have quick chip kit on hand and some ol...

Re: ATmega2561 support in openTx
Animal60, As you have been successful converting two of your 9x radios to the M128, I wonder if you could do a step by step (maybe with pictures) of a M2561 conversion. And/or a written step by step for the M128 conversion. Right now the information is scattered about these forums. It is a bit conf...

Re: ATmega2561 support in openTx
If you are referring to the reboot problem when using the trims, then yes.. The fix is to solder some 1K resistors in line with the horizontal trims circuit.. Please see here. http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=95&t=3594&start=30#p52593 You can start reading a bit before that pos...
