If you do this you back up your models and settings, which is what matters as you've spent lots of time to make those. You could also "read firmware from radio" if you want to back that up and have a perfect copy of your working setup but it's less important since the last version of each...

I'll do as you suggest. I'm pretty sure that I did a 'Backup Radio to File, but I'll double check.

If you do one of those, do you not need to back up the EEPROM and the other BIN file?

I have removed both tensioning screws, but the up and down movement remains very stiff and the stick no longer returns to the centre - except after moving it left or right. The stiffness is so great, I doubt if there is a spring strong enough to centre the stick.
