Re: S8R & X8R receivers will not bind to Taranis X9D-Plus
Many thanks, indeed, for your help. Your instructions worked, perfectly. After the internal XJT module FW was updated, out of interest, I checked a model with a V8FR-II receiver in it and it was fine. Interesting to have telemetry, now. Thanks, again.

For some reason, I didn't thank you, for your answer. Apologies, for that and thank you, for your help!

Re: S8R & X8R receivers will not bind to Taranis X9D-Plus
Thanks, for your reply. My Taranis X9D-Plus was bought in 2015. The only FW that I can see, on the Frsky website, is for 'Taranis X9D Plus 2019' and 'Taranis X9D Plus SE 2019' - will this firmware be compatible?
Thanks.
Thanks.

S8R & X8R receivers will not bind to Taranis X9D-Plus
I am not able to bind my S8R and X8R receivers to my Taranis X9D-Plus (bought in 2015). I have flashed the latest non-EU firmware to both receivers: S8R firmware: S8R_ACCST_2.1.0_FCC X8R firmware: X8R_ACCST_2.1.0_FCC Taranis Opentx firmware: opentx-x9d+ / version: 2.24 (66bb9c3a) 2019-07-11 When try...

Frsky S6R/S8R Receiver and FrSky 2.4G DIY Transmitter module (in)compatibility
I think the answer to this question will be 'no', but: are the S6R and S8R receivers compatible with the FrSky 2.4G DHT DIY Transmitter module? Re: RE: Re: Upgrading to OpenTX version 2.1.9 from 2.0.8 on a Turnigy 9X
If you do this you back up your models and settings, which is what matters as you've spent lots of time to make those. You could also "read firmware from radio" if you want to back that up and have a perfect copy of your working setup but it's less important since the last version of each...

Re: Upgrading to OpenTX version 2.1.9 from 2.0.8 on a Turnigy 9X
I'll do as you suggest. I'm pretty sure that I did a 'Backup Radio to File, but I'll double check.
If you do one of those, do you not need to back up the EEPROM and the other BIN file?
Thanks for your help.

Upgrading to OpenTX version 2.1.9 from 2.0.8 on a Turnigy 9X
On my Turnigy 9X (aka TGY 9X), I have OpenTX version 2.0.8 installed. I presume that it's possible to upgrade to 2.1.9. In anticipation of this, I've backed up the EEPE and two BIN files (I was prompted by OpenTX Companion to back up the EEPROM because it was created on an 'older version'). I wonder...

Re: Turnigy 9X: Right Stick Very Stiff
Thanks for your help. Problem solved. It is difficult to explain, but two parts were rubbing together because two parts had separated. I was lucky enough to have another 9X to compare the faulty one with and the correctly functioning one didn't have a gap. I pushed the two parts together and the sti...

Re: Turnigy 9X: Right Stick Very Stiff
Many thanks for your reply.
I have removed both tensioning screws, but the up and down movement remains very stiff and the stick no longer returns to the centre - except after moving it left or right. The stiffness is so great, I doubt if there is a spring strong enough to centre the stick.

Turnigy 9X: Right Stick Very Stiff
I fly mode 2 (elevator and ailerons on right stick) and I adjusted the tension of the stick successfully; however, since doing this the stick is all but jammed. Movement is fine, right to left; but up and down it just stays were ever you leave it. I have tried adjusting the screw and have even remov...

Re: HELP: SETTING UP TRAINER/BUDDY-BOX SYSTEM
Thanks for your reply. When you say 'Configure a basic 4ch model on the 9x' do you mean on the slave tx or the master or both? (On the master, I have an EEPROM for my Wot 4 Foam-E. Could I copy this to the slave tx instead of creating a basic 4ch model?) If I cannot use the EEPROM, would it be okay ...

HELP: SETTING UP TRAINER/BUDDY-BOX SYSTEM
I have been trying to set up a buddy-box/trainer system using OpenTx and two Turnigy 9Xs. I have followed the instructions in the video guide and read the manual. Unfortunately, I have been utterly unsuccessful. Can anyone recommend a fool-proof guide that works? (There is no module connected in the...
