Re: HK 450 clone with Flymentor
Thanks josuahj I'm looking at both systems. The FMentor is way cheaper. Lots of servo leads all over the place with Co Pilot. That puts me off. I hate leads & cables everywhere. I still can't decide. Maybe I'll get the FM and save for the Co Pilot later as I want 2 setups eventually. Cheers, BF :)

Re: HK 450 clone with Flymentor
Can anyone tell me if this flymentor is as good as (or better) than that Co Pilot II unit ?
Will Co Pilot work with a 9x ok?

Re: Align 3GX Programmable Flybarless System Qs
Thanks John, Yes, looking at another Trex 500. I am only familiar with the old flybar & gyro setups. Just getting back into helis after a 5 year break. All a bit overwhelming. Do you still need a tail gyro with a FB system or is the tail gyro part of the total FB system ? For the moment I think ...

Re: Align 3GX Programmable Flybarless System Qs
Thanks for all the info. I was hoping I could just plug the 3GX in to my standard 9x Transmitter and Tgy 8 channel Rx. As I have a spare Tgy Rx, and am loathe to start playing with modules ot the hassel of removing the module from the 9x with the antenna wire issue etc. I see there are other FB unit...

Align 3GX Programmable Flybarless System Qs
Hey guys, Wasn't sure where to post this Question but here goes: I am going to purchase another Align T-Rex heli with the new 3GX Flybarless System. From what I understand, it only works with Futaba or DX 2.4ghz radios. Is that correct ? I guess all I need then is another module for my Tgy 9x ? Any ...

Latest Vs of Eepe & Firmware
I just got the update available message through my Eepe software and let it download the latest hex file and newer version of Eepe
Now when I go flash my 9x I get an error unable to write backup ?
It can read the firmware and settings from the Tx ok.
Any thoughts?

Hope I can say this too in the future, on the first 9X I received the sticks didn't center properly. Still waiting for HK at the moment... Re: Tx Rx setup?
Thanks Kaos,
All sorted now thanks. Got my 2 Rx's bound and servos all working using the old 6v nicad pack.
I'm still waiting on a bag of male XT60 connectors for my ESC's so I could'nt try all this with a 'proper' setup and my LiPo connected.
Cheers![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Re: Tx Rx setup?
Thanks Kaos,
Yes, the nicad servo battery pack Im using is only 2 pin so it would be easy to get it wrong.
Its only a 6volt pack so I gather the Tgy Rx can handle that (just for binding and testing my servos) ?
Cheers

Re: Keeps flicking me back a page ?
I'm using my laptop with XP.
It keeps making a mouse clicking noise all the time. It's almost like someone else is clicking stuff at the same time and I end up on a random page.
I also keep getting logged out for no reason.
Very annoying.

Re: Battery connector Tgy 9X
Well the battery is now all connected up. Working great.
Geeze though, the battery itself fits a treat but not a lot of spare room for all the balance leads & now I also have a large servo type male/female power connector !
Still, thanks to you guys, I haven't blown my Tx up !
Cheers,

Re: Battery connector Tgy 9X
Thanks SM
Well, I'm sure it does unplug, but I'm going to sit and give it some careful thought before I wrestle with it again.
Such a stupid, simple thing that has me beat.
I might just leave it and cut and solder the new connector in situ.
Tnx.

Rubber Feet
I noticed the 9x rocks back & forth when stood upright.
If you look at the base, there are cutouts in the plastic that could be filled/lined with rubber sheet (like what is used to back the backlight).
A trip to my local hardware store may reap some suitable material.
Will post my findings![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

I am confused. If you just cut the antenna cable that is joined to the original module (as suggested as option 1 on the smartparts website) won't you then have no antenna signal for whatever module you plug in ? I'd like to add telemetry to my TGY 9x but am clueless how to do it. What is that umbill...

I found it tricky to position the display and backlight and then get it all back together without something moving/sliding around or a wire getting in the way etc. Me too. If there's a trick I havent read about it yet. Yes, I had to open it all up a few times to get things in the proper place. As i...
